Spruce Island Camp

Spruce Island Camp has been in operation since 1965. Our season runs from the 3rd Saturday in May through October each year. We continually strive to upgrade our cabins and facilities for your enjoyment, comfort and convenience.

Fishing in the quiet bays near camp you will find walleye, northern pike, bass and trophy muskies. Due to our remote, yet boat accessible location; the fishing opportunities are endless. Your fish will be kept, without charge, in our big freezer until your departure.

Hunting is also available for non-residents and residents. Deer, fall bear hunt and grouse are found on the Aulneau Peninsula(primitive weapons only) and surrounding islands. The surrounding islands are available for hunting with rifles and primitive weapons to non-residents and resident hunters. Duck hunting is also available. For current hunting, firearms and fishing regulations please visit our hunting and fishing pages.

Here at Spruce Island Camp, we are proud that the majority of our guests have been coming for many, many years. Some of our guests have been returning to Spruce for as many as 45 years! Whether it is your first visit to Spruce Island Camp, or your thirty-first visit, we at Spruce Island Camp want to make sure you have a wonderful and unforgettable vacation!
